Replacement Felt for the inter-cylinder baffles on M14-P radial.
But why just on the inlet valve gallery side? This felt blocks gaps between the cylinder casting and the sheet metal baffle, guiding air towards the exhaust valve gallery that needs the cooling more.
It gets sewn onto the sheet metal close to the intake gallery
You'll need to take the large inter-cylinder baffle off the motor to detach the old felt, ( if it's still there) and reinstall this new one.
Looking at the rear of the baffle, release the speednut on the spring-loaded spade which sits between the fins, then squeeze together the baffle's two spring-loaded slides below the foam cushion on the baffle's outer edge.
3 cord holes in the felt line up with the holes in the baffle.
This kit includes pictorial cord stitching instructions and a generous length of Rib Stitching cord.
Cut it into four because:
* two felts are included
* you sew the fat side of the felt to the large baffle OFF the engine, then
* sew the other curved side to the smaller adjacent baffle after the baffle with felt are back on the motor.
