Based on my research, the Ruggles Bros. (Everett and Albert Ruggles) operated a meat market in St. Johnsbury and also had a farm outside of town.  They are listed in a 1920 Department of Agriculture publication as having 25 purebred cattle on their ranch at St. Johnsbury.  The Winter 1949-1950 edition of the magazine "Vermont Life" has an article about the Ruggles Brothers and states that they owned the Ruggles Bros Meat Market in St Johnsbury.
