You are buying an antique 1904 wave motor, Santa Cruz, California posted postcard. The Santa Cruz wave motor was a wave powered pump along Westcliff Ave. The motor was used to pump up and store sea water, which in turn was used to keep down dust on Santa Cruz's unpaved roads. Overall, the postcard is in good condition reflecting normal wear. The front of the card has the hand written correspondence. The back of the card has the name, address & original 1-cent cancelled stamp (see photos for details).
