Presenting a superb Art Deco Cognac bakelite bead necklace.
This necklace featurese 49 superb graduating Cognac bakelite beads.
Each bead is barrel in shape and holds a strong rich colour and vibrancy.
The necklace weighs 88 grams and the total strand length is 70cm.
Each bead features beautiful rich Cognac colouring which change in different lighting conditions to almost resemble a light Cherry colour. The effect is just stunning.
Beautiful swirled striations are apparent within the beads.
These beads have been strung on original thick cotton string which still holds strong and feature a beaded Bakelite screw clasp.
These beads test positive for Bakelite.
The largest central bead measures 2.7cm in length with the smallest bead measuring 1.3cm.
Presented in excellent near antique condition.
There are no chips, cracks or damage to the beads. Minor light age related wear which is common, barely noticable and mentioned for accuracy.
