Yamaha EX5 / EX5S Extended Synthesis Rare Millennium Edition Synthesiser - 100V

The Yamaha EX5S was released by Yamaha in the year 2000. We've read on a few websites that there were meant to be 2000 of these released, however only 500 made it out into the world! Making it a pretty rare and powerful machine.

The EX5S features Yamahas Extended Synthesis system. This incorporates a number of the most advanced tone generator technologies which were currently available, plus a full-featured sampling system! It offers a Four-Element Voice structure which allows for up to four independent waves from any of the tone generators. The tone generators implemented here include AWM2, AN, FDSP and VL Synthesis.

The EX5S also features sophisticated sampling capability and six controller knobs which can be assigned to a wide range of parameters for extraordinary real-time control capability along with the Pitch wheel, two Mod wheels, assignable Ribbon Controller and Scene memory buttons.

Furthermore, two types of full featured built-in Sequencers are available, as well as some great onboard effects!

Condition:

This unit has been used.
This unit is in great condition. It shows some slight discolouration, as well as some small scratches and marks. Nothing major and overall is still a nice synth!
This unit has been tested and it is fully functional.
Please be aware this unit is 100V. This means it MUST be used with a step-down transformer, not a travel adaptor. If you are unsure about this please let us know. We have some great, compatible step-downs for sale here: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/173909299338 They are designed in Australia for use in Australia and can be run 24/7.
If you purchase from outside Australia you may need a step-down transformer to use this unit. Please contact us if you need any help sourcing the correct product.
This unit powers on with a standard IEC cable. A Japanese IEC will be included for the new owner to use between the synth and their step-down.
