In 2013, the US Postal Service issued a 20 stamp booklet to commemorative the Harry Potter series.  First published in 1997, "Harry Potter" is a series of seven fantasy novels written by the British author J. K. Rowling.  It chronicles the adventures of a young wizard, Harry Potter, and his friends Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger, all of whom are students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.   The main theme for all seven novels is Harry's quest to overcome the Dark wizard Lord Voldemort, who wants to rule both the magical and non-magical world.

The stamp shows the three main characters - Harry, Ron, and Hermione - as portrayed in the first film, Harry Potter and Philosopher's Stone, released in 2001.

It is displayed in a 4 by 3 inch wood frame.  Please indicate what color frame you prefer - white, black, or walnut. If not specified, black will be sent.

This framed stamp is sent anywhere in the United States for free!

A bit more history: The United States Post Office issued its first stamp on July 1, 1847. Since that time, over 5000 stamps have been released. Each stamp is given its own identification number called a Scott Number. This stamp has been designated as Scott Number 4827.
