Manufactured in the Reflex profile with a round on both edges, making them fully reversible and giving the same appearance on both sides
(we also machine bench slats in the traditional single sided profile, with rounding only on 1 face - please see our other listings in our eBay shop.  Alternatively slats can be left as a square profile when requested)

These slats are fully machined from kiln dried timber and are supplied untreated.  Each slat is made from a single piece of solid hardwood, not smaller pieces glued together.  As we machine these in large quantities, the slats in the photographs will not be the actual ones you receive, but they are representative of the appearance of these slats

We machine similar battens in a selection of widths and lengths; please let us know if you require a price for a different dimension.  Also we have bench slats available in other timber species such as red grandis and oak in our eBay shop


IROKO Chlorophora excelsa and C. regia.  Iroko is a highly durable timber with a medium oily texture.  It is frequently referred to as African Teak due to its durability and appearance. C. excelsa has a wide distribution in tropical Africa, found from Sierra Leone in the west to Tanzania in the east.  C. regia is confined to West Africa where it occurs from Senegal to Ghana.  There is no visible difference in the timber from the two species. The wood colour is initially yellowish-brown, darkening to a much richer, golden brown over time. Typically the timber weighs around 660kg/m3.


We have been importing, distributing and machining quality worldwide hardwoods since 1970 and carry extensive stocks at our various premises in Staffordshire.  We have an ethical purchasing policy ensuring that the natural environment, in particular the biodiversity and sustainable production of forests is considered of the utmost importance.  Where possible timbers are sourced from FSC certified supplies.

This timber can be delivered by carrier or collection is possible by arrangement from our works near Eccleshall, Stafford (approximately 9 miles from Junctions 14 or 15 of the M6).  The delivery shown is for mainland UK delivery (England, Wales and Scotland excluding highlands).  Payment should be via PayPal or cash on collection.
