USDA Yearbook of Agriculture "Water" 1955. Pasted on the inside cover is a letter from Republican US Senator H. Alexander Smith on the Committee on Labor and Public Welfare letterhead to a Mr. John Whetten at Princeton University, a noteworthy geologist. The letter honors Mr. Whetten's request for this book and accompanied the book sent "for use in your studies". Typed January 10, 1956 and signed by Senator Smith.
