SONY ROBOKIDS CAST-AU4/B2521 3 AXIS CARTESIAN INDUSTRIAL ROBOT CAST-AU4\Z7L CNC Z AXIS UNIT IS INCLUDED ESTOP/START BOX INCLUDED 250mm x 210mm x 70mm TRAVEL Very nice industrial 3 axis robot - robot was built in 2002, Z axis in 2009. everything is smooth. There is a brake on the Z-axis. Nice mechanical design with quality linear ways. We purhased both as working units at the same time, but battery has failed and the unit no longer comes up to the point of powering the drives. There is a power LED and the 24V signal is present in the safety connector. We will include the manual we downloaded. Someone familiar with this unit can probably get it going. If anyone knows what to do about the dead battery and can share it, that would be appreciated. More importatnly, it is a great platform for a retrofit with a basic CNC. It has stepper motors and the drive components in place. The Z axis is a bolt-on unit. It is an industrial unit build for production within it's size and force parameters. There is no power cord included - however it is a standard cord. Memory cards are included - one for each - but I do not know if they work. Z axis is easily removeable. The unit was part of a riveting systems made by Rivetronics - Yokishawa Iron Works. We made an attempt to get this up - but have little to go on without a handheld programming unit to help diagnose the problem. We purchased both togetther as a working system. I know they worked when they were purchased. The batteries are dead at this point, and the manual does not give any assistance in how to recover from a dead battery. If anyone knows of a piece of software that simulates the handheld unit - that would be appreciated also. If anyone has anything that you would like us to try, let us know. We are selling this as-is. These robots will not work unless you can solve the computer issue. Mechanically, they are fine. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
