CARLTON WARE LIDDED GINGER JAR "MIKADO" ROUGE ROYALE

This is a wonderful display piece by Carlton Ware.

Known as a 'Ginger Jar ' of large proportions.

The body & lid decorated in the 'Mikado' pattern ; oriental ladies among pagodas , islands & bridges , two beautiful love birds in flight above, all on a rouge royale lustre. Complete with original paper label with shape and pattern no.

Beautiful fine detail & sound workmanship.

Carlton Ware script mark to base. 

Height to top of gilded finial, 10 inches [ 25cm]. 

The gilding is immaculate & the item is in beautiful undamaged display condition.
