Vintage Taxco Mexico Sterling Silver and Onyx Hinged Trinket Pill Box measuring approximately 1 1/16 x 7/8 x 7/8 inch (including the stone) and weighing approximately 19.58 grams. This is a beautiful, completely handmade box with amazing
craftsmanship. The box is marked on the inside bottom, "TH-46" T for
Taxco, H for the artisans last name beginning with "H", and #46 of artisans
with the last name beginning with "H", "Mexico and 925". Unfortunately
after an extensive search I have found no way to track down the
particular artist. Circa 1970's - 1980's.
My
father and my husbands father brought back many lovely pieces of
jewelry, porcelain, clothing, perfumes, and household items to their
wives, sweethearts, moms and family members upon their return from
Europe after WWII. Many of the items have gone to family, but there
are still many items that need a home, and they are listed here.
There are also other items, long held family treasures that also need
to find new homes, as we have no room in ours for them. Many of them
have been passed on from generation to generation over 100's of
