It is the focal reducer / speed booster adapter for newer Canon FD (black lock) lens to Canon EOS M (EF-M) mount APS-C camera bodies.
(Not applicable to EOS (EF) mount or EOS R (RF) mount cameras)
Not suitable for older FD mount (silver lock) lens

APS-C sensors magnifies images by 1.5x. The adapter reduces focal length by 0.72x magnifaction to near 1:1 in APS-C cameras, e.g. 50mm x 1.5 x 0.72 = 54mm.

It also allows more light to enter the camera sensor, can reduce exposure time to about 1 stop.

Not suitable for older FD mount (silver lock) lens.
Aperture must be turn to "open" before installation.
