Nicolas Ghesquiere ran a short, yet notable, tenure at the Italian luxury knitwear label Callaghan in the early 2000's.
This dress is from his final collection for the label before it shuttered. In this collection, Ghesquiere's goddess dresses project a carefully composed and self-conscious nonchalance that separate them from their more historically reverential predecessors.
Multiple pieces from Callaghan Spring 2002 are in the Metropolitan Costume Institute's permanent collection.
This dress is made from a champagne colored stretch jersey that has a slight shimmer to it. There is a deep, plunging v-neckline and an asymmetrical hem.
CONDITION: Overall GOOD pre-owned vintage condition with much life left. Light wear consistent with the age and material of the garment. A few light pulls throughout (pictured)
