FED-5 was produced by the Kharkov Production Machine-Building Association "FED" from 1977 to 1990.
The case is classic for rangefinders of that time. Made of light metal and covered with black textured leatherette.
The camera is very large and heavy. My copy without a lens weighs 630 grams.
