USMC 4th ANGLICO Patch — USMC Embroidered Patch

Call Sign: Lightning — 4th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company

From the sands of Kuwait to the streets of southern Iraq, 4th ANGLICO Marines have earned their call sign the hard way — by directing devastating firepower onto enemy positions while embedded with forces that aren't their own. This patch represents the Marines of 4th ANGLICO, the other half of the reserve ANGLICO force that kept the airborne fire support mission alive.

4th ANGLICO is a reserve unit based at West Palm Beach, Florida, under the 4th Marine Division and Marine Forces Reserve. Like 3rd ANGLICO, the unit retained its jump mission and "Goldwinger" status when active-duty ANGLICOs were deactivated in 1999. In early 2003, 4th ANGLICO Marines were activated for Operation Iraqi Freedom. Detachment Alpha deployed to Qatar for potential operations with 10th Special Forces Group in northern Iraq, while Detachment Bravo entered Iraq from Camp Commando, Kuwait. The Bravo teams — call signs Lightning One-Zero, Lightning Two-Zero, and Lightning Three-Zero — played crucial roles in southern Iraq, earning Combat Action Ribbons. 4th ANGLICO continues to deploy Firepower Control Teams and Supporting Arms Liaison Teams worldwide, providing terminal guidance of air, naval gunfire, and artillery for coalition and allied forces.

Perfect For: 4th ANGLICO veterans, Lightning call sign alumni, reserve ANGLICO Goldwingers, OIF fire support veterans, and anyone who respects the Marines who bring the lightning.

Lightning strikes. 4th ANGLICO delivers.
