Officially Licensed US Navy HSM-40 Air Wolves Stickers — Where Every Atlantic Fleet Seahawk Pilot Gets Their Wings

Before you hunt submarines in the fleet, the Air Wolves have to sign off on it.

Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 40 — the Air Wolves — is the U.S. Navy's Atlantic Fleet Replacement Squadron for the MH-60R Seahawk, training every East Coast maritime strike pilot and aircrew member before they hit the fleet. Established on October 4, 1985 at Naval Station Mayport in Jacksonville, Florida, the squadron was originally designated HSL-40 and stood up to serve Helicopter Maritime Strike Wing Atlantic as the Navy transitioned to the new SH-60B LAMPS Mk III helicopter system. The Air Wolves were redesignated HSM-40 on November 1, 2009 as part of the Navy's broader reorganization of its helicopter community. Today, HSM-40 operates more than twenty MH-60R Seahawk helicopters — the Navy's premier rotary-wing anti-submarine warfare and surface warfare weapons system — along with weapons and tactics trainers, full-motion flight simulators, and computer-integrated training devices. A cadre of fleet-seasoned pilot and aircrew instructors runs every student through a demanding syllabus of ground school, simulator events, and flight training, turning fresh aviators into combat-ready maritime strike operators. HSM-40 doesn't just train Americans — allied students from partner nations around the globe pass through Mayport to learn the Seahawk as well. Upon graduation, freshly winged pilots and aircrew report to either an operational HSM expeditionary squadron or an HSM carrier air wing squadron, deploying to every theater of operations the Navy touches. As HSM-40's motto puts it: in every theater, in every climate, and in every projection of force, there will be Air Wolves — past, present, and future — ready to serve.

Perfect For: HSM-40 Air Wolves instructors and graduates, MH-60R Seahawk crews, Naval Station Mayport personnel, HSMWL veterans, Atlantic Fleet helicopter pilots, and anyone who earned their maritime strike wings with the Wolves.
