More about these stamps:  In 1997, the US Postal Service issued this 4 stamp block of American football coaches.  Included on this panel are:  Bear Bryant, University of Alabama; Pop Warner, Youth  Football; Vince Lombardi, Green Bay Packers; and George Halas, Chicago Bears.

A bit more history: The United States Post Office issued its first stamp on July 1, 1847. Since that time, over 5000 stamps have been released. Each stamp is given its own identification number called a Scott Number. These stamps have been designated as Scott Number 3146a.
