This listing is for the two piece bronze casting of a tiger that you see in the photos. I purchased it along with a number of other small Chinese bronze figures or statues of various ages from an estate sale in Oregon where I was not told its history.  I do not know how old it is. I leave it to the buyer to determine its age. 

In ancient China, bronze tallies were used to verify orders for troop deployment. This looks to me like it is one of those tallies. I have not found another one on the internet that is exactly like it. 
The condition is much like you see it in the photos. There are no dents, scratches or breaks. There is a patina that may or may not have been applied. There is an off white substance covering some of it that I do not know the nature of. Otherwise, it is fine and as shown. My photos should give you a good idea of its general condition. 
I guarantee this tally to be as described and represented by the photos and video. The photos are part of the description. Please look at all of them.

       Please know that the lighting in my photos is uneven and that there might be shadows or reflections. The colors on my monitor look close to but not exactly like the actual colors. Different monitors may show different colors. I often say that an item measures or weighs “close to” because in my opinion no measurements are exact and some things are difficult to measure.

    I frequently purchase signature delivery for my more valuable packages because of the possibility of them being stolen off of a porch or damaged by weather. I often but not always ship the same or the next day. Often, I have a double wall box custom made for larger items and that might result in a short delay. When I use packing peanuts, they are usually biodegradable. Sometimes, I use used boxes.
