This item is for eight (8) .020 in. (.50mm) over bore Moresa flat top pistons and a moly piston ring set (Hastings/MAHLE) for 1999-2003 GM models with the 4.8L Vortec V-8 engine requiring press-fit piston pins. P/N (8) 1016-050 + 2M4978-020.
These pistons can also be used in 5.3L engines as a performance upgrade over the factory dish top pistons. Remember, these pistons have press-fit piston pins and can only be used with press-fit connecting rods.
