I've had quite a few bags from Campomaggi's Larimar range, but this is the best! I'll try to describe everything. First, the leather is vegetable tanned and hand finished in dark brown. Each of the gorgeous fancy studs are hand placed. You'll find gold holding black and gun metal holding black as well. Center of the burst holds a silver fastening holding a black faceted bead.
I've had the zip top, but this one has a flap over the zipped top. It's beautiful. It also has gold feet on the bottom to protect the bag.
This is a larger bag. Inside it has a long zip pocket across the back wall and the Campomaggi metal on leather logo and # below that.
On the front wall there is a leather slip pocket.
The bag comes not only with the rolled tote handle, but there is also an optional shoulder strap.
And like Campomaggi says about their products "a little part of the world where time gives and doesn't take away". The bags do get better with time.
Here are measurements taken and they are approximate:
Just under 13" high, width measured only from side to side on the front panel is also just under 13". The depth measures 5" at the bottom and widens a pinch as it goes to the top. NOTE: This Larimar has Campomaggi fish snaps on either side of the top inside, so you can let it out to increase the depth aboout another inch at the top.
The retail of the bag is just over $1000 because of the VAT, or $840 retail in Milan.
