Connecting the ReceivertoaPC
Connect the receiver to the computer
Use the HDSDR application on the Windows system to verify the radio's functionality through thefollowing steps:
1) .Install and run the HDSDR software.2) . Select "Options] Select lnput Sound Card", as the receiver acts as a sound card device.3) . Click "Soundcard" and select "Malahit lQ in the "RX Input (from radio)" box. "RX Output (toSpeaker)can be selected as needed.
4) .Click"OK"to confirm your selection.
After completing these steps, HDSDR should display the same spectrum and waterfall chart as yourreceiver. You can use the receiver's knobs to adjust the frequency.
Connect the receiver to the computerTo adjust the receiver frequency from the computer, you need to interface the OmniRig software withthe"Malahit CAT"USB device.
i) Enter the Windows Device Manager and find the COM port device associated with "Malahit CATYou can do this by disconnecting and reconnecting the Malahit receiver. One of the COM port entriesunder the "Ports COM and LPT" branch should disappear and then reappear. That will be your COMport device. lf you reconnect the receiver to a different USB slot, the port will change.
2) Install and run OmniRig. ln the OmniRig window, set up "RIG 1" as follows and click "Ok" to confirm
the changes.
Rig Type = TS-480
Port = <Your COM Port>
Baud Rate = 19200
Data Bits = 8
Parity = None
Stop Bits = 1
RTS = High
