ALL OTHER SINGLE MUFFS THE HOSE END PUSHES ON TO THE UNIT, THIS ONE HAS THE HOZELOCK Fitting on the Flush Muff  SO YOU DO NOT HAVE TO TAKE YOUR HOSE END APART WHEN YOU USE IT.  

Oval Single Flush muff for running your Outboard or Inboard Engine out of the water on a hose pipe.  Suitable for all engines with water pick up on the side of the gear box behind prop.  These SINGLE muffs suit engines 8hp - 60hp, IDEALLY you should use the DOUBLE ones on motors over 60 hp (See My Shop Engine Flushing )  However you can use the single ones on any size engine if you wish.  

With the water running on the hose, start the engine and run for 2-3 minutes this flushes away salt and sand and prevents EXPENSIVE internal corrosion  DO NOT LEAVE ENGINE UNATTENDED WHEN RUNNING AND KEEP AN EYE THAT IT DOES NOT GET TOO HOT.  You only need to run at tick over to flush, DO NOT RUN AT PROLONGED HIGH RPM, but a quick burst is fine.  always make sure the hose can not get caught in the prop and make sure that when running the muffs do not shake off
