Our Lisianthus plugs are well-rooted starter plants with only 2 or 3 pairs of leaves that come ready to transplant into your final containers or in the ground. We often plant this size plug at our farm for years and they grow beautifully. This is the ideal amount of growth for transplanting a plug of this species because their roots are less crowded and not root-bound. Plants that are allowed to become root-bound will not grow as healthy long term. Although larger-sized pots of this species may have more leaves, this size grows very well and saves your shipping costs.

Lisianthus, or Eustoma grandiflorum, are flowering plants native to northern Mexico and the Great Plains in the United States.  Lisianthus is often used in floral arrangements due to its resemblance to a rose and its longevity. They have a long vase life and can last up to two weeks when they're cut and put into water, and maybe longer if you give them flower food. They're a great addition to your garden if you need help attracting pollinators and enjoy cut flowers. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds will likely flock to Lisianthus plants all summer long. 

* Lisianthus Doublini 

Doublini have miniature double flowers. They can look identical to spray roses, and hold up very well out of water, making them perfect for boutonnieres, corsages, and flower crowns. Stems are shorter than standard varieties. 

*Lisianthus Solo

Lisianthus is a type of flower with small, single flowers that do not produce pollen. Over the years, breeders have worked on developing pollen-free Lisianthus because they last longer. These flowers can last up to 2-3 weeks or even more in a vase. They have a more elegant appearance compared to their wild cousin, Viviana. They have a high number of flowers per stem, which compensates for their smaller size. This gives Lisianthus a new and unique look.

Echo is one of the first double Lisianthus series for cut flower growers. 

*Lisianthus Pucchino

 Pucchino is similar to Rosanne and Wondrous, you can expect surprise beautiful unique color in this series.

Advantage is a solid series; this 'Cherry Sorbet' is an absolute eye-catcher in any garden. 

* Lisianthus Arena

It's another solid series, and it has become a favorite for many growers. 

*Lisianthus ABC

Bred for its true double-flowered favorites, perform uniformly across a wide range of colors and bloom groups.

*Lisianthus Rosanne

Rosanne is so odd, you can't help but love her. This is the only double flowered series to come in these designer shades. The green is a vibrant chartreuse, black pearl is a velvety deep purple. High end floral designers can't get enough of them. A must-have one in the floral world. 

*Lisianthus Rosita

Rosita series deserves more attention. They have a rounded appearance similar to Croma. They are a nice contrast to the large ruffled types.

*Lisianthus Voyage

 Voyage has known as the 'Alissa' series in Europe & become an American industry standard. It has big, ruffly, and fully double flowers.

Lisianthus is an elegant yet heat-loving plant native to USDA ZONES 8-10, it doesn't like direct afternoon sun. The lowest temperature at which Lisianthus can survive outdoors is 20°F. If you live in zones colder than zone 8, you may need to bring your plants inside until the temperature warms up again. But we have experimented with Lisianthus outdoors in zone 7, where our farm was. We were able to save it (75% success rate) by covering it with a thick layer of mulch until the following spring, but keep in mind that it needs plenty of light.

A strong, healthy root system is the most important feature of a plant. Damaged foliage can sometimes occur in shipping. If this happens, simply cut those pieces off and discard them. Oftentimes, leaves will experience some yellowing in transit due to the lack of light in the box. However, the new growth will become the normal shade of green once the plant recovers from shipping.
