Product Description
Midleton Very Rare Dair Ghaelach is a range of Single Pot Still Irish whiskeys from the Midleton Distillery meaning, quite simply, Irish Oak. This Single Pot Still Irish whiskey was matured initially in American Oak Bourbon barrels for between 15 and 28 years.
The maturing whiskey was then finished in virgin native Irish Oak Hogshead casks grown on the Knockrath Estate for a period of two years. Specificallly, from a single tree - 'Tree No.2' from the Knockrath Estate.
TASTING NOTES
Colour
Nose: Toasted oak, vanilla mocha and fresh red berries and orchard fruits.
Palate: Irish oak influences spring forward with sweet notes of chocolate, honeycomb and vanilla.
Finish: Very long with red berries and baking spices present.
