Limited to 1200 copies, this is issue number 226.
This lovely illustrated biography of Empress Josephine, first wife of Emperor Napoleon I.
Illustrated with forty one monochrome plates and a colour frontispiece. Collated, complete.
CONDITION
In the original publisher's paper vellum binding and unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. The dust wrapper has some spotting and has some wear to the extremities. There is some light spotting also to the binding and some bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot.
