I have to say that this objet d'art is well outside my wheelhouse....I have no experience in such things! I believe it's an Aztec Flute because I have seen similar items called that, but none identical--it's pretty unique in its details and is so interesting to look at! I have not tried to blow into it, so can't say that it would make noise/music. It definitely appears to be handmade. I have no idea of its age. Warrior (?) wearing an elaborate feathered headdress is sitting or squatting, holds a shield in his left hand and raises a weapon in his right hand. The figure stands about 6 1/4" tall. I don't see any chips, cracks or repairs. It is roughly made--it has a primitive feel that I love and has a solid weight to it--not flimsy. Please ignore the utility knife I used to prop it up in the next to last photo! It's not included. ;-)
