This ignition switch fits all Honda Civic from 2006 to 2011 with an automatic transmission (Does not fit hybrids). The part was removed from a 2008 Honda Civic. This ignition switch comes with 1 remote key. The remote could have 2 or 3 buttons.
Honda Civics that are year 2001 or newer are equipped with an immobilizer system. The keys have a chip inside of them. The chip key must match the engine computer in order to start the car. In order to solve this issue you can have the key programmed by a local locksmith. You can ask them to program the chip to match the one in your old key.
