Portrait of Wolfert van Brederode (1649-1679), bust in oval wearing armour. Lord of Cloetingen, Haeftyen and Herwijnen he is portrayed at a young age. Bottom left a hand with a sword surrounded by flames and bottom right the head of a boar. Signed at bottom: Mijtens del. / Hanc ipssius Effigiem quam sculpsit, qua par est animi observantia D.D.D. T. Matham.On the bottom right are the initials: L.C. (unknown origin and reference).

Engraving on paper, trimmed within or on plate mark; total: 408 x 307 mm; state II/2;  some rubbing due to handling, otherwise in very good condition. Hollstein 72, Muller 709.
