Antique Victorian German Punch Paper Embroidery Crewel Stitchery 1800's Cupid.

I have for sale a beautiful antique stitchery sampler in the German language.  It is done on punch paper which was popular during the latter part of the 19th century.  The cupid or angel is framed in metallic gold thread stars, dried ferns and wool flowers.  Please see photos for the best description of this item.  I see no loss of thread, the colors are bright.  The frame is appropriate for the age of this stitchery and there is some rubbing and wear on the frame.  The outside dimensions of the framed item measures 19 inches tall x 14.5 inches wide.   The backing is wood, very solid and heavy.   There is a translation of the saying on the back side of the stitchery that states, "If you have problems and pain look up to heaven".  A google translation states something to the effect of "In sorrow and pain look up to heaven" or "look heaven skyward".    I bought this item about 20-30 years ago and it has been stored in a closet in a smoke free pet free home and has no odors.
