National Hickman steel cranking tool / Bar

225mm (just under 9" long)

Used for manual adjustment of National Hickman branded steel hinges and any that are of the same size spec.

 

The Cranking tool is not supposed the grab the knuckle – the end should rest against the end of the knuckle leaf with a gap to allow the other side to ‘slowly move the top/bottom knuckle in the desired direction to either open or close the door/frame gap.

 

There’s always the potential for a white or black coated hinge to suffer some damage less so on Chrome  –

There should  enough room to allow  a piece of lint-free cloth to help protect the knuckle surface as well.

 

Worst case scenario RAL9010 ( Signal White ) or RAL 9005 ( Matt Black ) touch up paint to be reapplied if necessary
