A vintage French cretonne fabric, dating to circa 1890. Wonderful blue / gray ground!!! ~ This panel is printed on both sides! A sign of the time for Furnishing fabric , I adore the design! It's rather a mix of Art & Crafts with Art Nouveau ~ this pattern has gorgeous movement ! This fabric is printed on each side, and was roller printed. The ground cloth is cretonne ( thin warp and thick weft cotton) medium weight. This panel has lost some strength with time, so best saved for decorative pillows rather than for heavy upholstery projects ~*~ Both selvages present ~ Fabulous too for framing! ~ ( please see my other textiles for matching panels of this fabric ) *~
MEASUREMENTS : ~ This curtain measures approx. 32 inches wide by 102 inches long. ~
CONDITION : This fabric is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. I've left this fabric in unwashed condition for collectors ( they prefer original condition) however this fabric needs to be washed! You can just feel it's collected dust with time. If however, you are making decorative pillows only and prefer to use unwashed, that's fine too ~ You can machine wash on gentle and hang to dry. There are some light thinning areas , There are some holes that will need to be worked around . There are some small holes and pale marks ~ Condition commensurate with time and use ~ all condition reflected in the price ~*~ ~
