This is a gorgeous complex weave textile from France dating from the late 1800s ~ extremely high quality! This textile was used as a blanket; it's a heavyweight, hand woven hemp and cotton textile. The main panel of the blanket is hemp, but there are red stripes woven in, as cotton was used for the decorative striping! There are two hand stitched seams, as this textile was created by hand stitching together three separate panels. It's a lovely, lovely warm creamy tone! ~*~ This beautiful piece weighs 4 pounds! It's gorgeous to use as a blanket, but would be perfect deconstructed too... there is so much fabulous fabric for projects - it would be a gorgeous Christmas tree skirt, or could be used for other Christmas projects and decorations! It would also make beautiful curtains, shower curtains, upholstery, pillows, bedding, etc. I use these French linens in every room of my house! This textile can be machine washed and tumbled dry and just gets better and better over time!

MEASUREMENTS: This wonderful textile measures approximately 57 inches wide by 80 inches long

CONDITION: This lovely piece has been freshly laundered and is ready to use! It's generally in lovely condition - one edge is fraying a bit and there is a bit of damage on the side edge as well. There are a few tiny marks on this piece that didn't wash. Overall, this textile is in lovely condition for this type of antique textile! This textile is not perfect, but it’s perfect for someone with creative hands who doesn’t mind working around the flaws inherent in antique textiles!
