WOLVERINE Painted by W. A. Weber Weasel Broad Yellow Stripes on Rump Postcard
This postcard has an image of a painting by W. A. Weber of a Wolverine. It appears pretty ferocious with its teeth bared as it stands on a tree branch. There is some yellowing on his back and sides against the darker fur.
ON THE BACK: "Wolverine Painted by W. A. Weber. This very large weasel of the North Woods and the Arctic looks more like a small bear and may weigh up to 35 pounds it can be distinguished from its northern relative, the Fisher, by broad yellowish stripes which join across its rump."
