Calcium Carbonate can also be used to promote a healthy strong shell for snails. Most of our wild-caught snails will not eat cuttlefish bone and we use this to give them the calcium they require but would not get from fruit and veg.

Calcium Carbonate can be used for preventing MBD (metabolic bone disease) in amphibians and reptiles.

Calcium is very important to promote and maintain bone growth and strength. Most feeder insects do not contain enough calcium to sustain the levels of calcium needed for healthy herps.

We also use this with the addition of cuttlefish. 

It can also be used as a total replacement for cuttlefish bone by making calci cakes.

This is done by mixing the powder with water to form a thick paste and then placing it in molds, we offer a full calci cake kit within our listings.

Can also be offered, placed in the enclosure in a shallow bowl.
