About these stamps:  The US Postal Service issued four 33-cent Youth Team Sports commemorative stamps  at the Disney World Sports Complex, on May 27, 2000. The stamps feature photographs that were chosen to depict the action and excitement of team sports.  These four sports - basketball, football, soccer, and baseball - were selected due to their popularity as well as sports that promote team play and cooperation.  

A bit more history: The United States Post Office issued its first stamp on July 1, 1847.  Since that time, over 5000 stamps have been released. Each stamp is given its own identification number called a Scott Number. These stamps have been designated as Scott Number 3402a.
