This apparently one-of-a-kind sweater was handmade and handsewn with a patch and embroidery to celebrate Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and their mascot, the Rams. Based on the cut and style of the garment, I would assume it dates from the 1960s, but it could also be 1980s-does-1960s. The material is unknown but feels like 100% acrylic. Condition is fair to good, it was definitely worn over the years, and has thin spots and pills to prove it. Please zoom in the photos to see what I mean. Photos also show the chest and arm measurements. If you’d like fit assistance, I may be able to help — I have worked in vintage consignment and upscale boutiques for years and might be able to help you tell if this would fit you or the recipient.
