My bags are the antidote for the poly-lined synthetic leather run-of-the-mill bags being produced in China. Most of my bags are full-grain leather; Artisan craft, with authentic distressed character, and many with modifications unique to our line. We only use high-grade men's belts for shoulder straps. This leather is reminiscent of equestrian leather halter straps. I also use half centimeter thick mooseskin. Nothing wimpy here; quality and character that stands out and stands the test of a truly rugged lifestyle.

Invest in a bag that you'll love more and more over time. Not all leather bags are created the same. A great quality leather bag is supposed to look better with time as the leather acquires marks and age-related wear.

Make sure to check out my whole store. At the time of this listing, I have 183 items all unique and different. Many with added Mooseskin handles; my "trademark" unique idea. Once you have tried it you will wonder how you functioned before without an inside handle. Also on many of my briefcases, I add a mooseskin handle wrap. The handle is the point of contact that the owner has with their bag and the mooseskin is so pleasing to touch.

Handles in like-new condition.
I have strengthened the side pocket stress points on this bag giving it durability for years to come. It fits a MacBook Pro 15 and now will not tear out the stitching like it might have after years of use. This literally gives it an heirloom quality; you can pass it on to your kids! If you are not familiar with pounded copper rivets, they are a really old-school re-enforcement that is next to impossible to remove. I have even tried to drill some out before when I have made a mistake and I could not do it. I use Mooseskin leather washers to give it even more durability.

It has two Gussets (or two Sections) and this is really a great feature when carrying your MacBook Pro or iPad Pro. You can keep things that might scratch them in the other Gusset. Schlesinger made many briefcases before being bought by Korchmar but most were the single gusset minimalist style. I like having two sections one for papers, a water bottle, sunglasses, Bible, and the other I can carry separate from my more fragile "tech".
It is stamped CaseSetter on the side with the patent number: 4,39,974 and on the inside Schlesinger - American Belting Leather.
I like that the convertible handles can be stowed away and it can be carried like a portfolio back under your arm.
I like that it has a Brass/Metal C&C quality zipper with metal teeth that moves fluidly when zipping. The zipper also has a metal snap to stow the flap of the zipper.

Not the new "leather" coming out of China these days. Good old American Leather that reminds you of the baseball glove that you had when you were a kid. This bag has the true vintage look which is so popular today. It says without saying anything that you like quality and, are not afraid to be different. I imagine a business professional who appreciates the vintage look taking this to a meeting. It is sure to get comments and compliments. It is unlined leather; this is very rare these days. It is really rare to find a bag at upscale retailers that is unlined. Unlined Leather is so much durable, can be sanded with sandpaper to remove stains, it is just so much better and lasts so much longer. The reason so many (even high-end) companies do not do it today is that it is so much more expensive to use Quality Belting/Saddle Leather as Schlesinger did back in the day.

I have this bag listed as a man's bag. But to a woman who is looking for that vintage rugged look, this would be perfect.
