They are impermeable to oxygen, which improves the quality & fermentation of your beer & wine! Able to withstand 15 psi of pressure, they are safer than glass & highly durable. The punt base allows for ease of carrying & pouring with minimal sediment movement, while the extra head space facilitates thermal expansion during fermentation. With no ribs on the sides to collect yeast, cleaning & sanitizing is much easier. Carboy sizes align with volumes of most wine kits, making these the ideal choice for secondary fermentation of your wine.

Italian glass carboy is the perfect vessel for fermenting 5 gallon batches of beer, wine, hard cider, and mead. It's inherently impermeable to oxygen, meaning it does not allow oxygen to pass through and affect the liquid inside. Our glass carboys are a step above the others, as they are made of consistent, thick, exceptional quality Italian glass, giving them a more uniform thickness that adds to its total strength and durability.
