Antique 1880 Staffordshire Daniel Lambert ceramic figurine. This antique ceramic figurine was created by world famous Staffordshire and was modeled after England’s well-known novelty personality Daniel Lambert. Also known as London’s Fat Man. Lambert was a keen sportsman (soccer goalkeeper) during his early years and a strongman who was said to have wrestled a bear in the streets of Leicester, England. At the time of his death he weighed 739 lbs, a height of 5’ 11” and a girth of 9’ 4”. This unique collectible figurine from across the pond, is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. This antique figurine measures 10” high and is 5 ½” wide at the base of his throne chair.
