Up for sale is a very rare rare and extremely hard to find vintage 1985 Dave Winfield Jox by Thom Mcan MSA Baseball Card Disc.

The condition is acceptable which is judged to be very good in this instance. Please read the description very carefully.

Imperfections include surface scratches, miscellaneous marks and soiling, edge and perimeter wear, and yellowing and discoloration due to age. Despite its flaws, the disc is a must have addition to the collection of any Dave Winfield or New York Yankees, San Diego Padres, California Angels, Toronto Blue Jays, Minnesota Twins, or Cleveland Indians fan or hard to find oddball sports card collector.

Used as promotion items, the 1977 MSA Discs had identical (or very similar) fronts but different backs for each promotion. MSA stands for Michael Schechter & Associates, who had a partnership with the Players’ Union to create these unique collectibles.

MSA (Michael Schechter Associates) produced the 46-disc set for Thom McAn to promote a specially developed line of boys' and young men's JOX all-turf cleat shoes. The give-away consisted of a set of 10 discs with every pair of shoes purchased. The production of the discs was discontinued when a decision was made to replace this line of shoes with a newer one. The discs measure 2 3/4" in diameter. The front design resembles a baseball, with a black and white headshot sandwiched between the two rows of stitching. Four stars appear above the player's picture, and the two ovals created by the stitching are colored yellow, green, red, or mustard. In addition, at least 8 players (Cedeno, Cooper, Cowens, Hargrove, Leonard, Valenzuela, Walker, and Zahn) had their photo and information printed in two different colors. The back of the discs are printed in black on white and have a Thom McAn advertisement. The discs are unnumbered and checklisted below alphabetically according to AL (1-24) and NL players (25-46). 

The disc being offered is from one of the most difficult backs to find (Jox by Thom Mcan).
