____________________
A handsomely-produced, scarce and highly sought-after book on game bird shooting around the world.
Published in an edition of only 1,000 deluxe copies known as the Sponsoring Subscribers' Edition, each copy was individually numbered and signed by both authors and the publisher. The limitation bookplate included the name of the subscriber. On some copies the name was printed and in others it was hand-written, I have also seen at least one copy in which the name was left blank. This copy, number 225 of 1000, includes the printed name of the subscriber, Countess Fitzwilliam. Also included with this copy is an original greetings card from the publisher to the subscriber with a printed message thanking them for their support and informing them that their book had been dispatched ("17. Dez. 1987") and should be with them shortly.
A trade edition of 4,000 copies was intended but never actually produced, adding to the scarcity of this issue.
