DESCRIPTION

A collection of fairy tales for children, narrating the adventures of charming characters such as Spite, Tuflongbo, the Fairy Queen, Prince Glee, Princess Trill, and more. 

Written by Holme Lee, the pseudonym for Victorian children's author Harriet Parr. 

Translated by Mrs H.B. Paull. 

Including a frontispiece, vignette title page, and ten engraved plates. Collated and complete.

Containing an ink inscription to the front pastedown, dated 1902.


CONDITION

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, some shelf wear to the boards and bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Light rubbing to the joints. Previous owner's ink inscription to the front pastedown. Internally, hinges are lightly strained, and binding is slightly tender in places. A few instances of scattered spotting to the pages, which are otherwise bright and clean.
