Featuring a frontispiece and additional engraved title page, as well as numerous illustrations in text and twenty-nine full page plates, of which eleven are in colour illustrating landscapes, costumes, heraldic shields and more. Collated, complete.
In a quarter morocco Petible signed binding.
CONDITION
In half morocco binding signed Petible over cloth covered boards, with five raised bands and gilt tooling to the spine. The original wraps are bound in with the volume. Externally generally sound with shelf wear and rubbing to the boards, light damp marking to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Light minor spotting to the odd leaf, otherwise the pages are generally very clean and bright throughout. Illustrated with numerous illustrations in text as well as twenty nine full page plates, of which eleven in colour, and a frontispiece and additional engraved title page. Collated, complete.
