DESCRIPTION

Written by John Richard Jefferies, a nineteenth century nature writer known for his beautiful depictions of rural England in both fiction and non-fiction. He inspired the likes of J. S. Fletcher and Henry Williamson, with other writers who admired his works including Leslie Paul, Henry Miller, Jeff VanderMeer and David Garnett.

CONDITION

In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally very smart; just a little bumped to the head and tail of the spine and the extremities. Ownership bookplate to the front pastedown and inscription to the half title. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
