DESCRIPTION

A fascinating and very comprehensive ethnographic and anthropological work on the Lango people, a Nilotic ethic group in Uganda.

Written in the early twentieth century by Jack Herbert Driberg, a British anthropologist and part of the Uganda protectorate.

Including a foreword by Sir Robert Thorne Coryndon, former Governor of the Uganda Protectorate.

Including a frontispiece, eleven additional plates, and a folding map to the rear. Collated and complete.

In the original, unclipped dust wrapper, incredibly scarce in this state.

CONDITION

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with just some light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Original unclipped dust wrapper is slightly sunned, and darkened to the spine. Some light chipping and edgewear to the head and tail of the spine and extremities, particularly to the head of the rear joint. Some minor offsetting to the interior of the wrap. Internally, book is generally firmly bound. A few instances of light spotting throughout, particularly to the first and last few pages and pages opposite the plates, not affecting readability.

Overall Condition: Very Good Indeed  Good
