DESCRIPTION

Containing verses such as 'The Milkmaid', 'Hey Diddle Diddle', 'The Great Panjandrum Himself' and 'A Farmer Went Trotting Upon his Grey Mare'.

Written and illustrated by Randolph Caldecott (1846-1886), an illustrator and artist known for his illustrations of fairy-tales, with his other works including 'The House that Jack Built' and 'John Gilpin'.

Undated; dated from copies held on Jisc.

Illustrated with in-text line drawings, as well as full plates in colour by Caldecott.

Bound in the publisher's original bright and decorative cloth.

A smart collection of songs, accompanied with colourful illustrations.


CONDITION

In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally very smart, with just a little general wear. Internally, binding is generally firm, with a little straining occasionally. Pages have the odd mark.
