This work explores Yorkshire's rich history of scientific contribution and discovery, and contains a bibliography of natural history publications.
Written by Thomas Sheppard (1876-1945), a curator and geologist remembered for founding a number of museums in Kingston upon Hull and East Yorkshire at the turn of the twentieth century. He also published a great deal of works including books, histories and catalogues on the subject of natural history, geology, Yorkshire and museums.
With gilt detail to the cover.
CONDITION
In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally generally smart, some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Internally firmly bound, pages are bright and clean.
