From the library of Allen and Beryl Freer. The Freers were avid art collectors, and acquired quite the selection over the twentieth century, of works mostly bought from the artists. Allen organised many exhibitions of artists he admired and published several works on art.
Isaac Hawkins Browne was an English politician and poet. He imitated many contemporary poets such as Jonathan Swift and Alexander Pope.
CONDITION
In a full calf binding. Externally, smart. Cracks to the front and rear joint. Small loss to the head and tail of spine as well as to the extremities. Front hinge is strained but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Minor offsetting to the title page. Just the odd spots to pages.
