Vintage Transitional Breitling Navitimer 806 Chronograph.
This is an Extremely Rare Vintage Transitional Navitimer 806 which was in production for approx. one year circa 1963.
This is therefore regarded by Breitling experts as possibly the Ultimate and technically the Rarest Collectors Navitimer 806.

Transitional Navitimer Features/History/Details:
The now-iconic “reverse panda” configuration face with black dial and white subdials is introduced in 1963.
For one year, the “reverse panda” dial remained in the earlier 806 case with a beaded bezel. The more familiar milled bezel was introduced in 1964.
The handset of this transitional model was also updated from the luminous, syringe-style hands used on the earlier all black faced Navitimer, to arrow-tipped baton hands.
The unsigned Gold AOPA Wings and a Breitling signature are also in place identifying this watch as a pre twin-jet model.
I am the second owner of this beautiful watch.
I bought this watch in 1995 during my commercial flying career. The first and only previous owner was also a commercial pilot. My understanding is that the watch was originally purchased in 1965 hence the date on the Authentication Certificate.
The original box and strap were not available to me when I purchased the watch.
The watch will be delivered with a Breitling transit case.
Since I have owned the watch I have had the watch over-hauled twice by Breitling via accredited jewellers.
The crystal and strap were replaced with genuine Breitling parts during those services. Since the new strap was fitted the watch has been worn once.
