On sale:
1) Group head lcd thermometer + thin flat sensor with transparent thin cable of 9 cm length (contact me for custom length). Pre-made ready to use adhesive patch for the sensor made with 3 special high temperature adhesive tapes (aluminium, kapton, chrome foil)
The flat sensor is ideal to attach on metal surfaces and measures the temperature very fast, and is hidden under the chrome foil.
The sensor's cable is detachable from the thermometer for maintenance of the machine while keeping the sensor attached to the group head and the thermometer removed.
2) Silver metal enclosure with a support to fix to the left bolt of the group head. Note: gold metal enclosure support is available in another ebay listing.
A double sided tape between the support and the metal enclosure will break a large amount of heat transfer from the boiler.

1) Termometro LCD con sensore temperatura gruppo Pavoni: sottile con cavo trasparente di 9 cm di lunghezza circa (contattatemi per una lunghezza personalizzata). Patch adesivo composto da 3 nastri adesivi speciali diversi per alte temperature (alluminio, kapton, e film cromato finale per un aspetto quasi invisibile).
Il sensore piatto è ideale per il fissaggio su superfici metalliche e misura la temperatura molto rapidamente, rimanendo nascosto sotto il film cromato.
Il cavo del sensore è staccabile dal termometro tramite connettore per consentire la manutenzione della macchina, mantenendo il sensore attaccato al gruppo e permettendo di rimuovere solo il termometro.
2) Involucro metallico di supporto in alluminio da fissare al bullone sinistro del gruppo della Pavoni..
Un nastro biadesivo tra il supporto e l'involucro metallico aiuta l'isolamento dal calore del gruppo.
This type of mount is only for post '74 La Pavoni lever espresso coffee machines made until today, that is all Europiccola and Professional with group head fixed by two bolts.
I have others ebay listing in my store with 3 different types of mount options for first generation '60-'75 models: steam tap, steam valve, base.
The sensor is easily attached with a custom made adhesive patch of 3 layers. It's made of professional high quality temperature resistant tapes: Kapton + aluminum + chrome foil for seamless aesthetic with the chrome surface.
Some additional spare part tape is included just in case something goes wrong with the first installation.
Notes:
write me a message if:
1) you have a brass machine. The third layer must be Kapton instead of chrome foil, and i have a gold metal enclosure as option.
2) if the thermometer is bought together with my thermal insulation gasket (which is 2mm thick) then i will ship also 1x longer bolt for the group head, 20 mm length. It will replace the original 16 mm bolt. Gasket + metal support total thickness is 3 mm.

Important:
General precaution notes: never bend the wire at the solder joint
(either sensor side or connector side). Use tweezers if necessary.
Gently remove the foil from the attachment patch, without bending the sensor at the solder joint.
When the sensor is attached to the group head, never pull its cable. Always disconnect the cable from the thermometer first.
Specifications of the thermometer:
Accuracy of 0.1°C
refresh time: 1 sec
Note: higher refresh time = longer battery lasting.
Power supply: 2x button batteries AG13 model (included)
Max temperature reading: 110°C Celsius scale (Fahrenheit under request if available)
Espresso taste is very sensitive to water temperature. You can feel the taste difference even with a 1° degree variation.
Without a group head thermometer, it's like to be blind about the actual extraction temperature.
It's even more important in a Pavoni machine where the group head can have very large temperature variations.
The group head temperature acts like a reference point. With the same temperature, you will get a consistent taste.
